No — Chestermere runs its own water utility, separate from Calgary's, and its restrictions can change with regional supply conditions rather than following a fixed schedule. Will new sod fix a lawn full of quackgrass or creeping bellflower?

Only if the root layer leaves with the old turf. Both spread underground, so fragments left in the soil start again — which is why spraying and pulling stop holding once they're through the whole lawn. A replacement works because the turf and the roots under it go together. If the lawn is otherwise healthy and the weeds are patchy, you want a lawn-care company instead; we don't spray.

Can you lay sod where a tree was removed?

Yes, but not straight onto the backfill. A removal leaves grindings and loose material that keep settling, and sod laid over it sinks into a dish. The material comes out, screened topsoil goes back in compacted in lifts, and the area is graded flush before any sod goes down.
