Contract terms

These terms are attached to every written quote. They're here so you know what to expect before you book. Anything specific to your project is spelled out in the quote itself.

Quotes

Quotes are provided after an on-site measure and are fixed for the scope described. They're valid for 30 days. If the scope changes — you add work, or we find something underground that can't be worked around — we'll price the change in writing before doing it. We don't do surprise invoices.

Deposit & payment

• A 25% deposit confirms your spot in the schedule and covers materials ordering.
• The balance is due on completion, after the walkthrough.
• We accept e-transfer, cheque or card.
• Minimum job size is approximately $2,000.

Scheduling

Start dates are confirmed once the deposit is received. Landscape work is weather-dependent — heavy rain, frozen ground or unsafe conditions can push a start date. We'll keep you updated and reschedule promptly. Sod and planting stop once the ground freezes (roughly mid-October).

Site access & conditions

You're responsible for providing clear access for our equipment (a Bobcat needs roughly a 4 ft gate or an open side yard) and for marking or telling us about private lines — irrigation, low-voltage lighting, invisible dog fence, septic. Public utilities are located through Alberta One-Call before we dig. We're not responsible for unmarked private lines.

What's included

Every project includes removal of the debris we generate, a final site clean-up, and a walkthrough with you. Sod projects include a simple watering schedule for the first few weeks.

Sod & plant establishment

New sod and new plants need your water to establish. We hand you a watering schedule at completion. Because establishment depends on watering we can't control, we don't warranty sod or plant survival. We do stand behind our workmanship — grading, seams, edging, drainage and hardscape. If something we built fails because of how we built it, we come back and fix it.

Insurance

Local Lawns Landscaping Ltd. carries WCB coverage and commercial liability insurance. Certificates are available on request.
