When the crew lifted the old lawn in this Sundance front yard, thick old roots came up with it. Roots left in the top layer of soil rot and settle over time, and the lawn above them dips and thins.

So the job went deeper than the grass: weeds, old soil and roots came out first. Then the ground was rough-graded, topped with fresh topsoil and levelled, and the new sod went down.

Remove. Took out the old grass, weeds and soil, and dug out the roots running through the front yard.
Rough grade. Rough-graded the front yard.
Topsoil. Installed fresh topsoil and raked it out level.
Sod. Laid premium sod from the house to the walk and around the bed.
Level and finish. Did the final levelling, cleaned up, and left watering guidance with the homeowner.
